Engineering expertise – creating our miniature Response machine

[:en]To honour Adelphi Group chairman Stephen Holroyd on his 50th anniversary working for Adelphi, our talented Maintenance Manager Gary Thompson created a working scale replica of our popular Response benchtop filling machine, as a personal and unique gift.
Precisely 1/3 the size of the normal response, Gary’s replica was made with a working ‘foot-pump’ (to be pressed with the finger), a scaled-down hopper to store the liquid to be filled, and even a miniature Tri-clover clamp to hold the hopper in place!
The creation of the mini-Response has been described as “amazing” and “nothing short of miraculous” by Gary’s colleagues, who all gathered round to see it presented to an emotional Stephen on Friday 12th April.
The Adelphi Response is a semi-automatic pneumatically driven benchtop volumetric filling machine, which works as well with products such as chutneys or jams as it does with water or syrups. Designed to meet pharmaceutical standards, the unit is versatile, hygienic and easy to use. The stylish exterior conceals a well-engineered and robust filling system.
