Welcome Ben, our new Mechanical Design Engineer

[:en]On Monday 25^th March, Adelphi were pleased to welcome new starter Ben Vellacott, who joins Adelphi Masterfil’s team as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

A recent Masters graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Portsmouth University, Ben says that he is “excited to be putting the degree into practice, and to get started in the industry”. His Masters, which he passed with Distinction, as well as his participation in the Formula Student Team, gave Ben what he describes as “a good basis of engineering knowledge, which should stand me in good stead moving forward”.

He describes his interview experience with Adelphi Masterfil Director Francisco Neto and Design Engineer Rob Grantham-Hill as “welcoming”, and says that he enjoyed the tour of Adelphi’s “impressive” double-award winning production facility The Friary, which was part of the process.

Ben describes his new colleagues as “really friendly and helpful”, and says he is particularly looking forward to “improving his knowledge and technical ability” under the watchful eye of his mentors Francisco and Rob, and fellow Design Engineer Alex Blayden.

We are thrilled to welcome Ben aboard, and to see him develop his skills. An exciting new addition to the Masterfil team; watch this space!
