Welcome Patrick, our new Apprentice Electrical Fitter

[:en]On Monday 18^th March we were joined by new starter Patrick Eade, who we are pleased to welcome to the apprentice role of Electrical Fitter in Adelphi Masterfil’s team.

Patrick began his career as a gamekeeper on the South Lodge estate, also undertaking a Gamekeeping course at Plumpton College. A shortage of local jobs in this vocation and a desire to develop some more transferrable skills, led him to apply for a Level 2 BTEC course in Engineering, through GOV.UK and Crawley College. “I’ve always been practical and hands-on”, says Patrick. “I’m excited to improve my technical knowledge, to learn to read electrical diagrams, and to fully wire machines myself eventually”.

He describes the interview experience with Adelphi’s Associate Director Nicola Jones as “welcoming and not at all scary”, and says that his new colleagues are “friendly; a close-knit team who have trusted my work from the beginning”.

We are thrilled to welcome Patrick aboard, and to see him develop skills in this new arena. An exciting new addition to the Masterfil team; watch this space!
