Adelphi is currently recruiting for a Service Engineer based at our Haywards Heath site. The role includes servicing, installing and repairing all Adelphi packaging machinery and laboratory equipment at our customers’ premises, both in the UK and overseas.
A Service Engineer, also known as a Technical Service Engineer, is a professional responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and repair services for a company’s products or systems. The role of a Service Engineer is typically diverse and can cover various industries, such as information technology, manufacturing, healthcare, or telecommunications. The primary responsibilities include installing and configuring equipment, conducting routine maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, and performing repairs or upgrades. Service Engineers often work directly with customers, providing training on product use and ensuring customer satisfaction. They may also collaborate with other departments, such as sales and product development, to communicate customer feedback and contribute to product improvement. Effective problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. Service Engineers may work on-site at customer locations, in a service center, or provide remote assistance depending on the nature of the products or services they support.
